Rob Foldy / USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired infielder Chris Bostick from the Washington Nationals for minor-league catcher Taylor Gushue and cash considerations, the teams announced on Monday.

In a corresponding move, the Pirates placed infielder Josh Harrison on the 60-day disabled list.

Bostick will be added to the 40-man roster, but won't report to the team, according to Adam Berry of MLB.com. The 23-year-old hit .250/.313/.386 with eight home runs and 51 RBIs in the minors this season.

Gushue, 22, hit .226/.282/.357 with eight home runs and 38 RBIs playing in Single-A this season.
