You'd think the Atlanta Braves' dugout would be positively ecstatic when someone on their team goes deep, given how infrequently that happens, but the light-hitting squad was able to keep cool Friday in the name of ceremony.
After Chase d'Arnaud spanked his first career homer Friday at Turner Field, the Braves' dugout gave the 29-year-old journeyman the obligatory silent treatment, leaving him to celebrate by himself as they high-fived Ender Inciarte.
Seeing as it took him five years and 117 games to hit his first MLB homer, though, d'Arnaud probably wouldn't have cared all that much if his teammates hadn't eventually mobbed him.
