Eckersley snags souvenir foul ball in Red Sox booth

Hall of Fame right-hander Dennis Eckersley received a nice surprise while broadcasting the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox game Thursday.

After Dustin Pedroia knocked a foul ball directly behind home plate into the NESN booth, an excited Eckersley announced over the broadcast that he grabbed himself a new souvenir.

He described the nab as an easy one thanks to a series of ricochets, which allowed the ball to travel into his wide open hands as he awaited the gift.
