Sale closes in on White Sox history with 6-0 start
Chris Sale is two consecutive wins away from tying a franchise record with eight wins to start the season.
The Chicago White Sox left-hander dealt again as the Baltimore Orioles had no answer for him over 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball, six strikeouts, and four walks. Sale also kept his ERA to a sparkling 1.66 in the 7-1 win.
With his sixth consecutive victory to kick off the 2016 campaign, Sale is off to his best start ever, and ties Lefty Williams (1920), Wilson Alvarez (1994), and James Baldwin (2000), who also started the season with six straight wins.

Jon Garland | 8 | 4/09/2005 | 5/17/2015 | 59.2 | 2.41 |
John Whitehead | 7 | 4/19/1935 | 5/30/1935 | 72.1 | 2.86 |

Chris Sale | 6 | 4/04/2016 | Present | 43.1 | 1.66 |
Sale has given up just two earned runs in his last four outings. Although he walked four hitters on Sunday - and has now surrendered five in five games - the Orioles failed to get a runner on third base when he was on the mound.
Sale's six wins also cast a shadow over the Atlanta Braves, who have six wins total this season.
