The Marlins lost, 4-3, to the Rays at home yesterday, and have now dropped five of their last seven games overall. Tampa Bay is 6-1 in its last seven meetings with Miami.

Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-3 yesterday, and entering tonight, is batting .500 (11-for-22) during his current six-game hitting streak. Ozuna has reached base safely (via H,BB,HBP) in 31 straight games overall -- the longest active streak of its kind in MLB, and the longest of any Marlin since a 34-game streak by Logan Morrison in 2011.

Including a 3-for-3 performance yesterday, Logan Morrison went 12-for-23 (.522 BA) during the Rays' latest eight-game road trip (hit just .119 in his first 28 games of 2016). Morrison is just 3-for-43 (.070) at Tropicana Field in 2016.

''I've been feeling so strong and I'm pacing myself the way I should be in the games,'' Fernandez said Thursday after striking out 12 in seven innings in a 9-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
