The Indians dropped a 5-2 decision in Boston yesterday, and have now lost two straight games for just the second time this month (also May 14-15). Cleveland is 12-7 (.632) in its last 19 contests overall -- best of any AL Central club since May 3.

Chicago beat Kansas City, 3-2, at home on Sunday, snapping its two-game losing streak, and salvaging one game in the weekend series with the Royals. The White Sox are just 3-8 (.273) in their last 11 contests -- second worst in the American League since May 10.

These clubs split two games earlier this season in Chicago (April 8-9), but had Game 3 rained out, and will play a doubleheader tonight. The last time the Indians and White Sox played a twin-bill was June 28, 2013 (Cleveland won both games, including a 19-10 victory in Game 1 of that doubleheader).

Cleveland's Game 1 starter, Mike Clevinger, had a no-decision in his MLB debut last week against the Reds (5.1 IP, 4 ER). Cody Anderson, the starter in Game 2 of this doubleheader, went 4.1 innings and allowed six runs (all earned) a week ago against the Reds, but the offense bailed him out, and he also got a no-decision. Clevinger (1) and Anderson (21) have combined for just 22 career MLB starts.

Mat Latos allowed five runs (all earned) in 5.1 IP last Wednesday against the Astros, losing for the first time of the season, and dropping to 1-1 with a 7.84 ERA in his last four outings. Latos is 3-0 with a 4.68 ERA in four career starts against the Indians. Erik Johnson is set to make his second start of 2016 in Game 2 tonight after allowed four runs (all earned) in 5.0 IP and taking the loss against the Red Sox on May 5. This will be Johnson's first career appearance vs. the Indians.

Francisco Lindor went 1-for-4 yesterday, giving him 14 hits (.438 BA) in his last seven games -- most of any MLB player over the last week (since May 16). Lindor is batting .386 in 12 career games against the White Sox.

Todd Frazier went deep yesterday, giving him an AL-high tying 13 homers on the season (tied with Mark Trumbo). Frazier has just one home run in 75 career at-bats vs. the Indians.
