These teams are meeting for the first time since 2013, when Los Angeles swept a three game series at Milwaukee. The Angels own an eight-game winning streak on the road against the Brewers dating back to 1997, tied for the longest active MLB winning streak against a single opponent on the road (four others, including LAA at COL).

Los Angeles avoided a sweep at Texas with a 9-6 win yesterday. The Angels have now hit a home run in 10 straight games, the longest active streak in MLB, after hitting just six home runs in their first 15 games of the season.

Milwaukee snapped a four-game losing streak Sunday with a 14-5 win against Miami. It was the most runs scored by the Brewers since August 27, 2012 (15 runs at the Cubs).

After a pair of home runs Sunday, Chris Carter now has seven home runs on the season. The last Brewers player with more through his first 23 career games with the team was Richie Sexson in 2000 (eight).

Jered Weaver has won each of his three decisions this season, his longest winning streak in decisions to start a season since winning his first five decisions in 2012.

Jimmy Nelson has held opponents to a .174 average with runners in scoring position this year, the fifth-lowest mark in the NL (minimum 25 batters faced). Opponents hit .242 against Nelson with runners in scoring position last year.

MILWAUKEE (AP)  Jimmy Nelson has been lone the bright spot in the Milwaukee Brewers' starting rotation this season. He turned in a career performance at the plate Monday night to help his cause.
Nelson entered the game with just one hit in 11 at-bats this season but drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning with his second single of the game, leading the Brewers to an 8-5 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.
