Including a 4-1 setback last night, the Marlins were swept by the Rays at Tropicana Field in their latest series. Miami has scored one or fewer runs 38 times in 2015 -- most of any MLB club.

Philadelphia beat New York, 3-0, yesterday, sweeping three from the Mets, and winning its fourth straight game overall. The Phillies have seven shutouts in 2015 -- tied for four fewest in MLB.

The Marlins are 7-9 against Philadelphia in 2015, including three straight setbacks at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies are 31-13 at home against the Fish since the beginning of 2011.

Justin Nicolino went 7.0 innings and allowed just one run (earned) last Saturday vs. the Braves, earning the victory, and improving to 4-4 on the season. Tonight marks Nicolino's second career start against the Phillies (7.2 IP, 2 ER, no-decision in first start).

Aaron Harang allowed two runs (both earned) in 6.0 IP last Sunday vs. the Nats, but garnered a no-decision for his efforts. Harang has lost 15 games in 2015 -- tied for third most of any National League hurler.

Darin Ruf went deep for the 12th time of the season yesterday, and is now batting .318 (7-for-22) with three homers and nine RBI in his last six games. Ruf has three multi-hit performances in nine career games vs. the Marlins at Citizens Bank Park.

The Philadelphia Phillies already have their manager for next season but it isn't entirely clear if one of their all-time leading sluggers will be back even though he is under contract through 2016.
Miami's managerial situation is also up in the air, and Dan Jennings could sit in the Marlins dugout for the final time when Dee Gordon pursues the NL batting title Sunday against the Ryan Howard-less Phillies, who will try to avoid 100 losses.

PHILADELPHIA (AP)  Dee Gordon got his 200th hit of the season in the opener, and Christian Yelich tied a club record with hits in eight straight at-bats as the Miami Marlins won the nightcap 5-2 to complete a doubleheader sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday.
Yelich was 5 for 5 in the first game, a 7-6 victory, then hit safely in his first three at-bats in the second. In the first game, Gordon became the first Marlins player since Hanley Ramirez in 2007 to record 200 hits with a sixth-inning single.
