Washington pitching allowed six home runs in losing all three games to the Mets at Citi Field over the weekend, accounting for eight of the 10 New York runs. In their previous 12 games, the Nationals had surrendered only seven round-trippers.

After moving their record to 50-51 with a win at Houston on Friday, the Diamondbacks lost to the Astros on Saturday and Sunday to drop three games under break-even. Since April 26, the D'Backs have a 1-14 record in games they've entered exactly one game under .500.

Since May 2, 2012, Washington is 8-1 at home against Arizona, including 7-1 in games decided by one or two runs. The Nats' four-game sweep of the Diamondbacks at Nationals Park last August featured three walkoff victories.

WASHINGTON (AP)  Wilson Ramos and his Washington teammates emerged from their offensive slumps a bit on Tuesday, and the Nationals earned a needed win.
Ramos blooped a two-run single to right with one out in the bottom of the eighth that helped Washington to a 5-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
