<p>HOUSTON - <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///mlb/players/2841" href="http://www.thescore.com/mlb/players/2841">Jose Altuve</a> had a career-high five RBIs to lead the <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///mlb/teams/23" href="http://www.thescore.com/mlb/teams/23">Houston Astros</a> to a 10-5 victory over the <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///mlb/teams/11" href="http://www.thescore.com/mlb/teams/11">Los Angeles Angels</a> on Tuesday night in a game between the top teams in the American League West.</p><p>The Astros, who entered the day a game behind the Angels in the standings, fell behind by three early before tying it up with a three-run second inning featuring a two-run homer by <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///mlb/players/1394" href="http://www.thescore.com/mlb/players/1394">Chris Carter</a> and an RBI single by Altuve.</p><p>Altuve drove in two runs in the fourth inning and tacked on another two with a double in Houston's four-run sixth to make it 10-5. The Angels snapped their three game losing streak with a 13-7 win over the Rangers on Sunday -- the 11th time this season that they have scored at least 10 runs in a game. The Angels had double digits in runs a total of 11 times in all of 2014.

The Astros have won four straight and nine of their last 10 home games. Houston has homered three times in each of its last two home games and have hit multiple home runs in a ML-leading 24 home contests overall this season.
