The Diamondbacks have won the last five games in this series. This is Arizona's longest win streak versus the Cubs since taking five straight, July 30, 2005-July 31, 2006. The franchise mark for most consecutive wins against the Cubs is seven, done twice (June 9-August 18, 1999 & June 13-August 17, 2002).

Arizona has won four straight games after completing their road sweep of the Marlins with a 7-6 victory on Thursday. This is the Diamondbacks' longest win streak since taking five in a row, July 3-7, 2013.

After going winless in his first four starts of the season, Jon Lester has now won four in a row, tying the longest such streak of his career. The most consecutive starts he has ever won is six, August 27-September 25, 2010 (streak not broken by any relief appearances; streak broken if receives no decision in a start).
