MLB Game Summary - Seattle at Kansas City

Surprise, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Eric Hosmer hit a two-run home run to lead the Kansas City Royals in a 5-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners in spring training action on Friday.

Alcides Escobar, Salvador Perez and Mike Moustakas each drove in a run and scored once for the Royals. Yordano Ventura went seven innings and gave up just two walks while striking out four.

Tyler Smith drove in the only run of the game for the Mariners. James Paxton allowed five runs -- two earned -- on four hits with three walks in 3 2/3 innings.
