MLB Game Summary - Pittsburgh at NY Yankees, Game Two

Bradenton, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Sebastian Valle doubled home Jordy Mercer in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 6-5 Grapefruit League win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday.

Pedro Alvarez hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs for the Pirates. Alvarez also doubled twice to match Mercer with three hits.

Vance Worley started for Pittsburgh and gave up three runs on six hits over five innings.

Cody Asche clubbed a two-run homer and Brian Bogusevic added a solo shot for the Phillies.

Philadelphia starter Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez allowed a run on five hits in 3 1/3 innings.
