MLB Game Summary - NY Mets at Washington

Viera, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Kila Ka'aihue smacked a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning as Washington opened its Grapefruit League schedule with a 5-4 victory over the New York Mets, a game which also marked Max Scherzer's debut in a Nationals uniform.

Scherzer, signed to a seven-year, $210 million contract by Washington in January as the premier free agent on this offseason's market, served up a solo homer to John Mayberry Jr. but struck out two in a two-inning stint.

Tyler Moore doubled twice and knocked in a run to help the Nationals overcome an early 4-0 deficit.

Mayberry finished 2-for-2 and Eric Campbell cracked a two-run homer for the Mets, who got a spotless two innings of work from veteran starter Bartolo Colon.
