Although the Astros still lead the all-time series with Kansas City, 19-17, the Royals have taken 13 of 19 meetings since June 19, 2005.

After losing all three games at Minnesota this past weekend, the Royals have fallen to 4-7 and currently sport the lowest winning percentage (.364) in the American League.

The Astros suffered a pair of 1-0 losses at Texas on Friday and Sunday. Houston has scored a grand total of 10 runs in its eight losses overall.

In his first start of 2014, Yordano Ventura earned no decision despite allowing just two hits and no walks over six innings. He became the first Royal rookie to toss at least six scoreless frames in his first start of the season since Jimmy Gobble in 2003.

Over his last six starts dating to last July, Lucas Harrell is 0-6 with a 14.12 ERA. He's issued just over a walk per inning (22 in 21.2 IP) while surrendering a .357 batting average.

Dexter Fowler began the season by collecting six hits in his first 12 at-bats (.500). But in six games since returning from a stomach virus, Fowler has mustered just two hits in 22 AB (.091) with no extra-base hits.
