Report: Wenger sticking with summer settlement
With calls for the manager to step down at their most vehement after Wednesday's demolition at the hands of Bayern Munich, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly sticking with plans to make the decision on his future in the summer.
Wenger's contract expires in June, and with rampant speculation suggesting that Arsenal has tabled a two-year extension for the 67-year-old Frenchman, neither the club or the gaffer will be rushed into a decision, according to BBC Sport's David Ornstein.

At the helm of the north London lot since 1996, Wenger's celebrated tenure has revealed a theatrical performance in two stanzas: the first term is highlighted by a decorated spell, the second by disappointment.
Without a league triumph since 2003-04, calls for his head have been amplified after a string of successive league defeats to Watford and rival Chelsea were punctuated by a dispirited 5-1 defeat to the Bavarian giant Wednesday at the Allianz Arena.

Whether or not Wenger sees his time coming to an end, as former Arsenal striker Ian Wright offered a week ago, it's no secret that the gaffer has the support of owner Stan Kroenke and chief executive Ivan Gazidis. Should the Gunners win the manager's record seventh FA Cup and finish top four for a 21st season on the trot, Wenger will again help Kroenke match his financial expectations, further muddying the waters of what should be a cut and dry decision.
With pressure mounting at the Emirates, Wenger, who has been during his 21-year tenure with the club nothing if not consistent, is sticking by his guns and will not make a decision until he can assess the campaign as a whole. Much like Arsenal's performance in Germany, this should come as little surprise.
