Did the FA accidentally leak England's Euro 2016 squad?

Someone at the Football Association could be in a bit of hot water after images purporting to be England's European Championship squad were leaked online Monday.

Verified Twitter account Oddschecker posted an image which looks to be lifted from the FA's website allegedly showing the 23-man squad manager Roy Hodgson will bring to France for this summer's competition.

The official squad announcement is slated for Thursday, when England supporters will learn of the veracity of this apparent leak.

While there were the usual cast of characters on Monday's much-discussed list, the image reveals a few controversial names that may cause English fans to raise a Spockian eyebrow.

Of note, Luke Shaw's inclusion would be highly questionable, as the injured Manchester United left-back would likely have to be selected over standout Tottenham defender Danny Rose, who was recently named to the PFA Team of the Year. Shaw has not appeared in a match since suffering a double leg break against PSV Eindhoven during the group stage of the Champions League in September.

Jack Wilshere would be another somewhat surprising addition considering he only recently returned to action after almost a year on the sidelines with a fractured fibula. But Hodgson reportedly talked about his desire to include the Arsenal midfielder despite the lack of playing time under his belt ahead of June's tournament.

Jermain Defoe's move back to England after a year in Major League Soccer with Toronto FC could also pay off; the leak suggest he will be named to the standby squad, where the Sunderland forward is purportedly joined by the likes of West Ham striker Andy Carroll, Leicester midfielder Marc Albrighton, Rose, and others.
