Leicester City 2, Swansea City 1

Leicester City recorded their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Swansea City with goals from Jamie Vardy and Wes Morgan.

The home side got off to a strong start and took the lead on the half-hour mark when Daniel Drinkwater played a ball over the top to Vardy, who raced in on goal and hammered it home.

Leicester City (1-1-1) looked good for their lead at halftime and it wasn't long before they were further ahead. The Swans failed to clear from a Marc Albrighton corner and Morgan was able to bury the ball home with a super volley from six yards to make it 2-0.

Claudio Ranieri's side then had the chance to make it 3-0 from the penalty spot after Shinji Okazaki was brought down inside the box by Jordi Amat. However, Lukasz Fabianski saved Riyad Mahrez's spot kick to keep it 2-0.

More bad news followed for the home side as Kasper Schmeichel had to go off on the hour mark after colliding with Fernando Llorente.

Francesco Guidolin's side then grabbed a goal back on 80 minutes as Leroy Fer nodded home a cross from Modou Barrow.

It proved to be a consolation goal, though. The result pushes Leicester up to ninth in the table while Swansea (1-0-2) sit in 14th on three points.
