<p>LONDON (AP)  Romelu Lukaku's early goal gave Everton a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, handing Alan Pardew his first loss since taking over the London club.</p>
<p>Lukaku tapped in from close range after Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni could only parry a cross from Steven Naismith into the striker's path in the second minute.</p>
<p>It was Everton's first win in nine games in all competitions, and put the team three points clear of Palace in 12th place, with 26 points from 23 rounds.</p>

<p>Palace came close to equalizing shortly after the goal but Phil Jagielka cleared the ball off the line after a flick by Dwight Gayle.</p>
