<p>LONDON (AP)  Tim Sherwood's first game in full charge of Tottenham ended in disappointment as Emmanuel Adebayor's error gifted West Bromwich a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Thursday.</p>
<p>Within two minutes of Christian Eriksen putting Tottenham ahead, Adebayor miscued Morgan Amalfitano's cross and Jonas Olsson tapped in easily from close range to equalize in the 38th minute.</p>
<p>The draw saw Tottenham drop to eighth place, while West Brom is 15th, a point above the relegation zone.</p>

<p>Sherwood was hired on an 18-month contract to replace Andre Villas-Boas on Monday after two games in temporary charge, including a 3-2 victory at Southampton in the league last weekend.</p>

Tottenham Hotspur will play for the first time since making the bold move of appointing the inexperienced Tim Sherwood as head coach when they welcome West Bromwich Albion to White Hart Lane on Boxing Day.
The 44-year-old Englishman had not previously managed a team until being moved from his technical coordinator job at Tottenham to become interim manager last Monday. He is now in charge until the end of next season.
