<p>MANCHESTER, England (AP)  Manchester City avoided another slip-up against a Premier League newcomer by beating Hull 2-0 on Saturday, a week after losing at Cardiff.</p>
<p>City broke through Hull's resistance in the second half when Alvaro Negredo headed in Pablo Zabaleta's cross and Yaya Toure scored from a free kick.</p>
<p>City now has six points from a possible nine this season as it looks to repeat its 2012 title triumph.</p>
