Bayern Munich defender Javi Martinez saved the day at the Veltins-Arena, scoring in the 69th minute to give his team a 2-1 lead in what would be a 3-1 win over Schalke in Bundesliga action.
Martinez waited patiently in the box as Bayern's midfield pinged the ball over to the right, then pounced with a powerful header when Arjen Robben delivered an inch-perfect cross his way.
