Safety fears delay start of Borrusia Dortmund's visit to Hamburg
Berlin - The start of Friday's Bundesliga clash between Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund was delayed by 15 minutes for safety reasons, heightening tension just three days after a bomb scare caused Germany's friendly with the Netherlands to be postponed.
Heavy traffic outside the Volksparkstadion, as well as tightened security checks carried out in the aftermath of the Paris terror attacks, caused the 19:30 GMT kick-off to be put back.
"The Bundesliga match between Hamburger SV - Borussia Dortmund is delayed by 15 minutes due to safety instructions," said a Bundesliga statement.
Tuesday's Germany-Netherlands friendly in Hanover was called off due to a bomb scare.
It came just four days after the Germany team experienced first-hand last Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris when suicide bombers blew themselves up outside the Stade de France where the world champions were playing France.
There will be a minute's silence before kick-off at all grounds to remember the 130 victims of the Paris attacks.
Players in the top two tiers will also wear black armbands.
