The final matchday of the Bundesliga season was accompanied by some good news for supporters of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, as the club announced that attacking midfielder Kevin Volland put pen to paper on a contract extension.
Volland, whose previous contract had two years remaining, is now set to stay at the Rhein-Neckar Arena until 2019.
"My path with Hoffenheim is not over yet," said Volland of his new deal. "I found it quite amusing recently seeing all the clubs I was being linked with, but now that is over. Hoffenheim are a great club to be at and we've got some big plans here.
Through 32 Bundesliga appearances, Volland notched eight goals and five assists, establishing himself as one of the league's top youngsters at the age of 22.
