Schuster signs new Freiburg deal
Freiburg, Germany - Freiburg captain Julian Schuster has extended his stay with the club by signing a new deal that reportedly runs until June 2016.
Schuster has been at Freiburg since 2008 and has made 164 appearances for the club, netting 14 goals.
"It's great that Julian Schuster declares his support of the club by extending his contract," said Freiburg sporting director Jochen Saier. "He has made great development with us and is a good role model. We are extremely happy that our captain will continue to help us with his experience and has decided to remain."
The 28-year-old played a big role in Freiburg reaching the semifinals of the German Cup last season, although the team is currently in 16th place in the Bundesliga table.
