Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben returned to training Saturday, a month after suffering a groin injury during a preseason friendly against Lippstadt 08.

It was good news for Bayern supporters, as the Dutch international marked a return to light training with a few laps of the Sabener Strasse facility, according to a statement on the club's website.

Robben, 32, pulled up limp during the 35th minute of the match with Lippstadt 08 hampered by a suspected thigh injury that was later confirmed as a groin concern, ruling him out for the Bavarian's preseason U.S. tour.

Recovering from the groin injury, Robben will not be fit in time to face Borussia Dortmund on Sunday or for the start of the Bundesliga season against Werder Bremen on Aug. 26.

Bayern faces rival Dortmund in the 2016 DFL-Supercup at the latter's famed Westfalenstadion. The two sides have played in three of the last four annual meetings between the Bundesliga champ and DFB-Pokal winner.
