Bayern Munich CEO urges Gotze to leave club this summer
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is sending Mario Gotze a very clear message: go elsewhere if you want playing time.
The seldom-used World Cup hero, 23, was widely expected to leave the club this summer, with a return to Borussia Dortmund and a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool both heavily speculated as potential destinations.
But the pudgy attacking midfielder recently claimed he wants to stay and fight for his place at the Allianz Arena, saying he would do whatever is necessary to impress incoming manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Rummenigge thinks that would be a mistake. Speaking with German magazine kicker, the club CEO said Gotze will not be a significant part of Ancelotti's plans, and needs to depart if he wishes to see significant time on the pitch in 2016-17.
"We made everything clear to Mario," he said, via ESPN FC. "He knows what the club thinks and he knows what the future coach thinks."
He added: "Mario has to consider for himself whether he wants to constantly get minutes."
