Report: Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair planned for WrestleMania 35 main event
Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair are reportedly set to make WWE history at WrestleMania 35.
According to PWStream, the current plan is to have the two square off in the main event, becoming the first female wrestlers ever to do so. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that WWE has had early discussions about Rousey headlining next year's event at MetLife Stadium, with Flair as her likely opponent.
Rousey made her long-awaited in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34, submitting Stephanie McMahon with an armbar to pick up a win for her and tag team partner Kurt Angle.
Flair also won her match against Asuka to retain her SmackDown Women's Championship, but according to Corey Jacobs of WrestlingNews.co, the initial plan was to have Asuka win so WWE could hype up a WrestleMania 35 showdown between her and Rousey.
