World No. 3 Naomi Osaka has withdrawn from the upcoming French Open due to a hamstring injury, she announced Thursday on Twitter.
Osaka is coming off a victory at last week's U.S. Open. She played the entire tournament with her left leg wrapped.
The 22-year-old Japanese phenom is halfway to a career grand slam, lacking victories at the All England Club and Roland Garros. Her quest for her first French Open title will have to wait until 2021.
