As if losing to the Netherlands by conceding two goals in the final 10 minutes wasn't painful enough for Mexico, El Tri were mocked by the official Twitter account of Dutch airline KLM just minutes after the final whistle.
"Adios Amigos," the tweet (which was later deleted) said, alongside a photo of an airport's departures sign with some possibly racist iconography on it.

Playful jab or classless gloating?
Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal was not a fan.
