Juan Cuadrado fired a hard, low shot from the penalty spot into the center of the net to open the scoring for Colombia in the 16th minute.

Yasuyuki Konno took down Adrian Ramos in the penalty area and received a yellow card for the tackle, which erased a strong start for Japan. You can view the tackle here:

Konno clearly makes contact with Ramos' foot rather than the ball, but Japan can't afford to have decisions like this going against them with their backs against the wall.
