The rumors and rumblings are true. Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will not be representing the Azurri on Saturday evening against England.
Italy's captain answered speculation surrounding an apparent ankle injury by taking to Twitter with an almost poetic description about his availability for today's match.

The link reveals that even though he may not be able to play today, his support for Italy is unwavering.
Roughly translated: "There are many ways of playing an important role, even if you're not a starter. So, come on Salvatore, come on magical boys. Team Italy, my great love.
