Sachenbacher-Sthele competed in five events, finishing fourth in both the women's 12.5 km Mass Start and Mixed Relay. The 33-year-old failed to capture a medal for the first time since the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002.
Sachenbacher-Stehle tested positive on the International Olympic Committee's "A" sample, and will have the "B" sample analyzed on Friday.
