Canadian freestyle skier Chris Del Bosco was diagnosed with four rib fractures, a pulmonary contusion, and a stable pelvis fracture a day after his terrifying crash in the skicross 1/8 final heat, Team Canada announced Wednesday.
The 35-year-old is in stable condition, remains hospitalized, and will continue to be monitored by doctors.
Prior to his crash, Del Bosco pushed for safer runs in an effort to avoid accidents.
He entered the Olympics as a two-time Winter X Games champion in 2010 and 2012.
