Canada cruises to victory over Olympic Athletes from Russia

Canada overcame a slow start to defeat the Olympic Athletes from Russia 5-0 on Sunday.
After being blanked in the first period despite holding a 15-5 shot advantage, Rebecca Johnston put Canada on the board early in the second frame, depositing a feed from Brianne Jenner. Johnston was the best player on the ice, notching two goals and an assist.
Melodie Daoust added two goals, while Marie-Philip Poulin finished with three assists.
Ann-Renee Desbiens earned the start in goal for Canada, finishing with 18 saves.
