The Fever have much shorter odds to win the WNBA championship (+400), but fall behind on the tournament oddsboard because Caitlin Clark's left quad strain will force her to sit out at least another week, meaning she'll miss Tuesday's game against the Mystics.

The Cup will likely be a three-horse race between the Liberty, Lynx, and Aces, assuming Clark remains out. New York is a perfect 7-0 and is the favorite to repeat as champion. The Lynx, whom the Liberty bested in the Finals last year, are also undefeated. Las Vegas started 4-2 but is one of the league's best teams thanks to 2024 MVP A'ja Wilson.

Tuesday's games

Washington Mystics @ Indiana Fever (-4.5,O/U 161.5)

After starting the season 2-1, the Fever have lost three in a row. That's mostly because Clark has missed the last two games, and the Fever are also dealing with injuries to Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson. But Indiana certainly has talent beyond Clark, including Aliyah Boston, Natasha Howard, and Kelsey Mitchell.

However, Clark has a high usage rate and is the focal point of Indiana's offense. The Fever have certainly made adjustments in her absence, but oddsmakers assume they'll make progress in their third contest without her, listing them as favorites over the Mystics. Washington is 3-4 to start this campaign after finishing 12 games under .500 last season. The Clark-less Fever should still emerge victorious.

Phoenix Mercury @ Minnesota Lynx (-10.5, O/U 155.5)

While the Lynx are undefeated and have significantly more talent than the Mercury, Minnesota has looked susceptible to an upset in recent games.

Before their 11-point win over the Valkyries on Sunday, the Lynx's average margin of victory in their previous four contests was 4.5. They only beat the Mercury by 3 last week. While the Lynx are capable of dominating any opponent, it's surprising to see the 5-2 Mercury as a double-digit underdog.

Dallas Wings @ Seattle Storm (-9.5, O/U 164.5)

This matchup features two of the league's worst teams. The Wings are 1-6 and in last place in the West, while the Storm are 3-4. Seattle is the more competitive team: The Storm defeated the Wings by seven earlier this season, and Skylar Diggins put up 21 points and nine assists in that outing. That's certainly a big reason for the 9.5-point spread. She should achieve similar production against a weak Dallas defense.
