The Connecticut Sun are taking home some hardware ahead of their playoff opener Tuesday evening.

Jonquel Jones was named the 2021 WNBA MVP in a landslide vote, the league announced Tuesday. The 6-foot-6 forward received 48 of 49 first-place votes after leading the Sun to the No. 1 seed while averaging 19.4 points and a league-leading 11.2 boards over 27 appearances.

Connecticut's bench boss Curt Miller was also named the Coach of the Year for the second time. The 52-year-old guided the club to a franchise-record 26 wins, including a 14-game win streak.

Brionna Jones rounded out the Sun's award-winning day while taking the Most Improved Player honors. The 25-year-old earned her first All-Star nod and averaged career highs in points (14.7 per game) and rebounds (7.3) during the 2021 campaign.
