Seattle Storm star Breanna Stewart will miss the rest of the regular season due to a left foot injury sustained Tuesday against the Washington Mystics, the team announced Friday.
Stewart will be re-evaluated by the Storm's medical staff at the start of the postseason.
The UConn product currently ranks third in league scoring (20.7 points per game), third in blocks (1.8), and fourth in rebounding (9.5).
Stewart, a three-time WNBA All-Star, captured her second Finals MVP last season as Seattle clinched its fourth league title.
The Storm occupy the league's No. 3 seed and have already secured a postseason berth. However, Seattle could miss out on a bye to the second round of the playoffs if they slip to fifth in the standings.
