The WNBA is proposing a 22-game regular season for 2020 which would begin July 24, sources told ESPN's Mechelle Voepel.

IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, would reportedly serve as the host site. Its facilities include "four basketball courts with 24 baskets with video analysis capabilities during practices and games," according to its website.

Teams are still being informed of details surrounding potential playoff dates, and players have not yet agreed to the proposal, Voepel reports.

Initially, teams were expected to play 36 regular-season games in 2020, up from 34 in 2019. However, this year's season, which was supposed to begin May 15, was postponed indefinitely April 3 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
