Stewart's dominance leads Storm to 2nd WNBA title in 3 years

The Seattle Storm are back on top of the women's basketball world.

All-Star forward Breanna Stewart overcame some early foul trouble, scoring a game-high 26 points as Seattle crushed the top-seeded Las Vegas Aces 92-59 in Game 3 to complete a WNBA Finals sweep.

It's the Storm's second championship in three years and fourth overall. Seattle is now tied with the Minnesota Lynx and the defunct Houston Comets for the most titles in WNBA history.

Stewart was named Finals MVP for the second time in her career. The UConn product averaged 28.3 points and 7.3 boards during the championship series.

Las Vegas came out with a sense of desperation, building a 13-4 lead just over three minutes into the contest. However, Seattle recovered from its slow start to lead by two points after the opening quarter.

The Storm dominated the remainder of Game 3, outscoring the Aces 69-38 the rest of the way.

Seattle guard Jewell Loyd also performed well with 19 points, nine boards, four assists, and two steals, while Jordin Canada added 15 points off the bench.

Reigning MVP A'ja Wilson notched 18 points, six boards, and four assists in a losing cause.
