Who could've imagined the downward spiral of England's football team after David Beckham's dramatic goal to secure a berth in the World Cup 15 years ago today?
Beckham's goal led to wild celebrations, but it was ultimately followed up with disappointment in the quarter-finals when Brazil - with the help of David Seaman's awful mistake in letting Ronaldinho score form over 30 yards out - knocked England out of the competition.
Though the country has qualified for almost every major tournament since his equaliser to secured a place at the 2002 World Cup, England's failures at the final tournament have led to the dismissal of four managers since Beckham scored his famous goal against Greece.
