When it comes to college basketball, no schools are better at packing the gym than Syracuse, Kentucky, and Louisville, according to a new study by Grand Canyon University that tried to identify Division I's most passionate hoops fans.
Analyzing NCAA attendance records for every D-I team and conference from 2011-18, Grand Canyon found that the Orange had the highest total attendance for five of those eight years. Kentucky had the highest per-game attendance among men's teams, while Tennessee took the top spot on the women's side.
The average attendance for a men's basketball game from 2011-18 was 5,004, compared to 1,594 for women's games.
