VIDEO: Genk 'keeper drops ball in own net to hand Anderlecht win
Oops.
Genk goalkeeper Marco Bizot made a proper clanger on Sunday, rising to meet a cross, but then letting the ball slip between his hands like a bar of soap.
The error was the only goal in a 1-0 win for Belgian giant Anderlecht, putting dents in both Genk's hope for European qualification and Bizot's pride.
Belgium's top-flight, the Jupiler League, which features 16 sides playing 30 regular-season matches, has a second round, Playoff 1 and Playoff 2, where the six top sides in the league play an extra 10 matches against each other.
The top two sides qualify for Champions League play, while the third-place club earns a Europa League berth. The fourth-place finisher faces the winner of Playoff 2 for a second spot in Europe's second-tier competition.
Got that? There will be a test after lunch.
