VIDEO: Ricardo Quaresma turns back the clock with dazzling goal
Well-travelled Besiktas forward Ricardo Quaresma's moment of brilliance Saturday saw the Portuguese striker catch Trabzonspor 'keeper Onur Kivrak off-guard, chipping the Turkish shot-stopper with an astonishing goal.
What initially seemed like a harmless attack down the right side transformed as Quaresma took matters into his own hands after his teammates failed to give the former Inter Milan and Barcelona player a target in the box.
The 31-year-old winger, once labelled one of the next stars of world football, showed with a moment's inspiration exactly why he'd drawn so much acclaim.
Quaresma, who's been capped 40 times, was assessed a second yellow card four minutes after the goal, and was sent off during Trabzonspor's 2-1 Turkish league victory.
