Former MLB player Russell Branyan was arrested Monday for allegedly breaking into his ex-wife's home.

Branyan, 39, was arrested in Nashville, Tenn., on a charge of felony aggravated burglary after allegedly breaking into the home of Jill Branyan on Oct. 30. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.

According to a warrant secured by Deadspin, Branyan broke into the home while Jill slept, stole various items, and lowered the thermostat to an extremely cold temperature.

Branyan reportedly told a witness he would like to return the items he took.

This isn't the first time the former big leaguer has faced legal charges involving his ex-wife, as he allegedly assaulted her in a car on Jan. 31, 2008.

Branyan hasn't played in the bigs since 2011, finishing his career with a .232/.329/.485 hitting line, 194 home runs, and 467 RBIs.
