Inter midfielder Felipe Melo banned 3 matches for kicking Lucas Biglia
Inter Milan midfielder Felipe Melo has been banned three matches for his reckless challenge on Lazio captain Lucas Biglia in the closing stages of Sunday's prime-time Serie A clash.
The Nerazzurri will not lodge an appeal.
Melo kicked Biglia in the shoulder in the 90th minute of Inter's 2-1 loss, and the league determined Tuesday in its ruling that it was deliberate.

He was shown his second straight red card of the season, just moments after conceding a penalty. Antonio Candreva missed from the spot but followed up the rebound for the match-winner.
"Unfortunately Melo did two stupid things," Inter manager Roberto Mancini told Sky Sport Italia afterwards.
Melo will miss Inter's first three Serie A games to start the new year - away at Empoli, home to Sassuolo, and away at Atalanta.
