VIDEO: Ashley Cole forgets what team he's on, helps Manchester City score
Ashley Cole appears to have picked up right where he left off after a miserable first season in the Serie A with Roma.
The former Chelsea defender likely won't see a bump in playing time this season after his howler against Manchester City during a friendly in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday.
With the match level at 1-1, Cole inexplicably attempted to play a ball to his 'keeper, Morgan De Sanctis.
The only problem was that De Sanctis was about 40 yards away, and Cole decided to send in a lob.
The back pass looked more like a perfect through ball for Kelechi Iheanacho, as the City player linked up with the ball and executed a smooth finish to put the Premier League side up 2-1 before eventually winning in a penalty shootout.
Seems like a safe bet that Cole will struggle to match the 11 appearances he made last season in Italy.
