Sevilla reaches agreement with AC Milan for transfer of Adil Rami
Adil Rami is set for a return to La Liga.
Sevilla announced Wednesday that an agreement was reached with AC Milan for the transfer of the 29-year-old centre-back, who arrived at the San Siro less than one year ago following a problematic spell at Valencia.
The deal is subject to Rami's recognition, and he admitted on Twitter that he will undergo a medical at Sevilla on Monday, writing: "I've decided to accept a new challenge ... I will be in Sevilla on Monday for medical visits. A hug and see you soon."
Rami made 21 Serie A appearances last season after forking over €500,000 from his own pocket to complete a permanent transfer to Milan. The move brought an end to his rocky relationship with Valencia, who had suspended him for lashing out at former manager Miroslav Djukic as well as teammates and sporting directors.
