Nigel de Jong renews contract with AC Milan until 2018
The San Siro is set to be treated to another three seasons of Nigel de Jong.
AC Milan announced Friday that the 30-year-old midfielder renewed his contract with the club until 2018, putting pen to paper on a deal that will be well-received among supporters, given that he was arguably the Rossoneri's best player last season.
De Jong joined Milan after Euro 2012. He scored three goals through 29 Serie A appearances last season while defining himself as a master of collecting possession.
Milan are in the midst of a quest to re-establish themselves among the European elite following a disastrous 2014-15 campaign. The club announced in early June that president Silvio Berlusconi had approved the agreement signed by Fininvest manager director Pasquale Cannatelli and Thai investor Bee Taechaubol, granting Taechaubol a minority stake.
