Speculation over a possible move to Major League Soccer's newest team is picking up again after Andrea Pirlo was spotted at Saturday's New York Yankees game.
The Juventus midfielder has been linked with a move to New York City FC since the Italian club's loss at the Champions League final against Barcelona.
Pirlo posted a picture on social media, and was also shown on the jumbotron at Yankee Stadium, which is also NYCFC's home stadium.
The New York Post reveals a signing could occur within the next week, while the Daily Mail reports the 36-year-old midfielder had a brief meeting with chief executive Ferran Soriano at the stadium.
